I like to play the guitar and in particular jazz guitar. I maintain a
website on my favourite guitarist (now passed on) Howard Roberts.
I'm trying to assemble as much information as I can about his career
in music and present this in
a scholarly fashion. Howard Roberts was an outstanding musician
but more than that he was a significant cultural figure. He played
on literally thousands of records, television shows and movies during
the 60's and 70's as part of his work as a studio musician. Beyond
this he was, in my opinion, one of the more significant players in the
history of jazz guitar.
